The Cromwell
Fire District is planning to construct a new fire station and office complex,
to be completed in 2005. This building establishes the coexistence of the
departments for the water division, fire marshal, and the fire station
within a symbiotic relationship. The 3-bay emergency apparatus garage is on the north side with direct access to West Street. For public access, the 3 level offices are on the south side facing the parking lot. The integration of architectural form, materials, scale, and details is intended to create a harmonious balance. In turn, this establishes coherent relationships with the surrounding site context.  |
