The Stevens-Frisbie House was constructed in 1853 in the Italianate style for John Stevens, founder of the J & E Stevens Co. It was bequeathed to The Cromwell Historical Society in 1968 by Russel A. Frisbie.

FAA has worked with The Cromwell Historical Society on a number of preservation and restoration projects for this building, including re-roofing and a complete re-construction of the front porch.
