This 124-bed
skilled nursing facility provides short term care, long term care, and
rehabilitive services. The original entry/porch had a tired, obsolete,
and dated appearance. Thus, the program involved the re-design of this
entry. Subsequently, the entire roof, posts, railings, and vestibule construction
was removed.
The new design provides an inviting and friendly entry with a new sheltering
gable supported by round columns. The ramp railing creates a continuous
edge, intercepted by a new entry stair, doors, and half-round window. Ultimately,
the classical detailing and articulated elements create a new, refreshing
entry for this health center.
