Sustainable
Fellner Associates Architects has been involved with numerous projects which incorporate sustainable design sensitivities.Through an understanding of climate, site context, materials, environmental
systems, and alternative energy systems, FAA strives to design buildings that are energy efficient and sensitive to the environment.

The principals of passive solar design, recycled and environmentally
sensitive materials, adaptive re-use, GeoExchange heating and cooling systems, among other strategies, are used extensively in the firm's repertoire of projects.

George Fellner is a member of the AIA/CT Committee on the Environment and has written and lectured extensively on sustainable design issues and strategies, environmental concerns, and GeoExchange heating and cooling systems.

The sample projects, to the left, illustrate these sustainable design
sensitivities.
