This one-story
lakefront house was extensively remodeled with a new open plan for the
living room, dining room and kitchen areas. The new 2nd floor included
a spacious master bedroom suite, complete with hot tub and elaborate storage
spaces.
The new form of the house accommodates the entire 2nd floor within a gable
roof, punctuated by a variety of dormers. The large windows at both floors
allow for an expansive view of the lake. A new wrap-around, latticed porch
extends into a covered walk, connecting to a new garage pavilion. Ultimately,
this re-interpretation of the Cape Style lakefront home gives this house
a new, unique identity.
