The house is a New England Shingle Style-Farmhouse hybrid, with touches of National Park Lodge and Adirondack Camp, with an Arts and Crafts flavor. In addition, a number of sustainable features are integrated into the design:
  • GeoExchange heating and cooling system.
  • Passive solar sunroom.
  • Closed-combustion, high-efficiency fireplace.
  • Plan orientation, placement of windows, and ceiling fans for air ventilation/circulation.
  • Participating in Northeast Utilities' Energy Star Program.

This 3,240 s.f. home is designed for living, entertainment, and participation in numerous hobbies and activities. The first floor consists of entry foyer with office/mail room, mud room/laundry, _ bath, kitchen/dining and great room, sunroom, pottery studio, and master bedroom suite. The second floor has a study loft, guest bedroom and bathroom. The walk-out basement level has an exercise/bedroom, bathroom, storage/mechanical space and workshop.
