George Fellner

George Fellner, AIA, LEED AP received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University and his Master of Architecture degree from The University of Florida.  After accumulating experience with a number of architectural firms in New York, Florida and Connecticut, Mr. Fellner formed Fellner Associates Architects (FAA) in 1987.  He is licensed to practice architecture in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New York; is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Connecticut Chapter; and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. 

Reinforcing his commitment to sustainable design, Mr. Fellner is a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - Accredited Professional) and FAA is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council.  As Co-Chairman of the AIA CT Committee on the Environment, Mr. Fellner has lectured and written extensively on sustainable design issues and strategies, environmental subjects, with a focus on geothermal systems, as well as organizing programs, seminars, and workshops.

In terms of community involvement, Mr. Fellner is presently the Chairman of the Haddam Division for the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, and a past Vice-Chairman of the East Haddam Planning and Zoning Commission.  He also gives regular presentations on history, architecture, and the environment for the East Haddam Historical Society and other groups. In addition, Mr. Fellner's fine art photographs have been featured in a series of photo exhibitions in a number of Connecticut art galleries. He is presently represented by the EO Art Lab Gallery in Chester, CT.

 

Mark Degnan

Mark Degnan, Assoc. AIA, Job Captain/Project Designer, received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Syracuse University.  Prior to joining FAA in 2009, Mr. Degnan accumulated 12 years of experience with architectural firms in Connecticut and New York.  He is a member of the Economic Development Committee and Citizens for Clean Groundwater in Haddam, CT.  Mr. Degnan has also been involved with Habitat for Humanity in Bridgeport, CT and Syracuse, NY.

Rebecca Ficaro

Rebecca Ficaro, AIA, Architect, received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology.  Prior to joining FAA in 2009, Ms. Ficaro accumulated 8 years of experience with architectural firms in Connecticut and Massachusetts.  Her community involvements include CAN-struction in Hartford, CT and Boston, MA.  In addition, she has been a Building Committee member with the Middlesex Habitat for Humanity.

Heidi Fellner

Heidi Fellner, Business Manager, received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Hofstra University.  Ms. Fellner has accumulated extensive experience in accounting and business administration in New York, Florida, and Connecticut.  She has worked with FAA since 1987, assisting with business administration, accounting, bookkeeping, landscape design, and marketing.  Ms. Fellner is a member of Wesleyan Potters and a member of the Southern New England Agility Club.
